Sorry for the poor format on the
news page. I tried for a long time to think of a way to do the news page so people
could respond to the news postings, post their own, etc. However, I couldn't come
up with a good idea, so suck it up and eat piss. I even tried to set up a bulletin
board for the news page, but they're fucking complicated and impossible. News page

ALL HCS & DEATH MACHINE STENCILS UP TO THIS POINT ARE NOW UP ON THE SITE! That's right, we finally got around,
to documenting every single stencil with a picture, scanning and naming every picture, and uploading it all onto
the site. A tedious task to say the least, but it's done. No thanks, by the way, to MC Dewing's slackfest. What's
up with that? Anyway, there's also some new mob pics, some new non-riding pics, a new pic or two in the 'outdoor'
page of the park section. I think that's it, but I might be forgetting stuff. Things that may be upcoming are
a photo chronicle of THE HIVE build day, a article/review thingie about MACHINE and CAN YOU SEE? showing at a film
screening in Pittsburgh recently (to surprisingly positive audience response), and a new essay on MACHINE and CAN
YOU SEE? is the 'video info' section. Also upcoming is the much anticipated and 2-years-in-the-works HCS road trip.
AND, as if that weren't enough, there's probably going to be a new video sometime soon-ish, and by 'soon-ish' I
mean within the next 3-4 months (maybe). You will hold me to nothing!

T-O-N-S of updates. There's no way I'm even gonna try to list them all. Poke around the site and you'll find
them. HCS is now fully stocked with all DEATH MACHINE sizes. Great new pressings, graphics, and routings.
Not sure on the date yet, but MACHINE and CAN YOU SEE? may be screening at a monthly film screening in Pittsburgh.
Don't know how many people will be able to make it or will be interested, but I'll put it up here as soon as I find
out when it is. For those that don't know yet, there's a whole new setup inside at HCS and there are numerous
new ramps outside in the parking lot. There's stunning amounts of setup potential, come and see for yourself. The
Banditos are rockin' down in P-town. D's reppin' Bingo. It's a good setup. I guess that's it. More when I hear/think
of it. Bury it.

The Dollhouse is finally up and running! I got a new guestbook and counter for the site. I thought the old number was

News...hmmmm. The site's been down forever. The shop was under 7 feet of water. Merch and minds were lost
in the process. Shit's cleaned up now. If you want to see what this looked like, buy a copy of MACHINE. All of our footage
of it is in there. They're only $15...support a local scene. HCS is still selling stuff, but it's out of the upstairs room. The
downstairs has been converted into a mini-skatepark dealie. Pics will be forthcoming. Youth night will be coming
soon--more info on that later, including a formal name and time. The new video is done: MACHINE. It's the
first digital video we've ever done. It came out good. Could be the best HCS video yet...the jury's still out
on that one though. It's a 2 DVD set, one DVD is the video and the other is full of extras. MACHINE is 48
minutes long with a full part from Black Rider, tOM, Ben, Prophecy, Caleb, Emilio, and Johnny Hero. It's growing
on me, which is saying something 'cause I haven't really had that since we put out On The Edge Of Enlightenment.
The Outlaw Collective built a ramp underneath the Bloomfield Bridge in Pittsburgh. It's pretty sick, and
construction is still plannned. You must build your own machine. There are a few other ideas in the works as
well. Some for the same spot, some for spots as yet to be found. Prophecy's back in Bingo, so go say what's
up and thrash a little bit with him. You can run on for a long time, but sooner or later God'll cut you down.

I guess that's about it for updates that got done today. Here's a short list of things I didn't get to yet, but plan on getting done very soon:

-I'm hoping to put together a walkthrough video of the park and shop and put that on the site
-The biggest one (and hardest/scariest for me) is that PayPal will soon be servicing HCS...so all you kids who can't make the drive can get some custom merchandise for yourselves.
What is some other news that happened since November? Ummm...like I said, I got a new camera. HCS is now digital. The end of a long, and pretty fuckin' sweet, analog era. Oh well. Derek just got racing slicks for his car. And he put them on. In February. If you don't think that's crazy...think for one second about driving
in ANY snow with giant, wide, spongy tires. There's a new polejam (that you can't ride yet 'cause of snow) that got put in a while ago. I got to ride it. It's perfect. It's exactly like the street polejam I rode a while ago...although slightly less steep. I think it's fucking awesome. The wintertime wallride in the shop is super fun. The drawbridge and moat bridge are fuckin' amazing additions. The only other thing to report is that I will be making an HCS pilgrimage at the end of March/beginning of April. It will be 8 days of thrashing, projects, fun, craziness, footage grabbin', and just general greatness. I'll be there from the morning of the 29th (D's birthday, by the way!) to Wednesday the 5th of April. Actually, now that I think about it, EVERYONE should come down on Wednesday for D's birthday! Bring some food, soda, candy...whatever. Either bring some presents or pay more than you would/pay at all. It'll be like giving him food or a place to stay warm! Seriously, let's all do this! Let's make the 29th MOB ON HCS day. It can be a giant surprise party...unless he reads this. However, I don't think he ever reads the news page so I don't think he'll read this. Ok, it's been forever since I've done any updates. Now they're ALL fucking done. It's taken me about 5 hours of working straight, so you jerks better be grateful. Ok, first here's what's up as far as new things on the site then I'll tell you news for the shop and shit.

-The format for the Death Machine 'pics' page is totally different. There are pics of thew newly painted boards (textured ones). Betsy and I painted 'em. There are pics of the even newer smooth boards, uncut. Total hotness.

-Some new pics in the 'non-riding pics' section of the 'mob' page.
-Lots of old things were moved around...most ended up on the 'archive' page.
-I'm planning on adding a link to the 'links' page as soon as I'm done with this. I was going to do this a long time ago, but forgot. I forgot once again today too, so I gotta go back and do it after I thought I was done. Fuck that. Oh well.
-Finally, everyone should try to guess what the mystery pic is. If you already know...don't ruin it for everyone! Someday I'll post what it is on the website.
Ok, now to the non-site related news. First off, Death Machine is back up and running! The boards are so fucking radical. Figured out a new layering material, built a glue applicator machine, the new molds are finished, the new shop's finished, and Derek can crank out about 10 boards a week (at least I think that's what he told me. The park is just getting too crazy. The concrete bump is so fucking fun. I haven't skated it yet, but the new quarter/hip dealie on the hill looks amazing. The walljam looks so dangerous and rad. For those who haven't heard yet, HCS will soon (hopefully) be the proud owner of a 12' diameter x 25' length fullpipe. This won't be set for a little while, so don't get your panties in a bunch yet 'cause the details aren't worked out. Once it's set, we'll get some pics up here and I'll put it up on the news page. And I don't want any comments here about my updating slackness. I gotta work and skating is more fun than editing the website, so I've been thrashing a lot and not editing this joint at all. Ummm....what else? Death Machine decks are now full-on tits...just to reiterate that. I (Johnny) will be up at HCS to make decks, help out on the park, and thrash from Sept 23rd to the 27th...for sure. So y'all better be down. Bring your $5 admission and your energy 'cause I'm making it a personal mission to thrash with everyone that comes down. I may be busy helping Derek sometimes or I may just fail to have enough energy, but I'm gonna try my damndest. I'll be coming with some new stencils, and I know Derek's made a few new ones, so you can get some HCS shit with those on it for the usual prices. BIIIIIIIIIIIIG NEWS!! New HCS video will be out within the next month or so. "STOP ALL THE CLOCKS, ERASE ALL THE MAPS." It's gonna be all new. Full parts from The Prophecy, Black Rider, Johnny Hero, and Craig. The friends section will be chock full of kids who you know...and maybe some you don't. This video is all over the place. If you like imaginative riding, this is something you'll want to see. It looks a lot different...Johnny Hero doing flip tricks? A new section from Craig? Black Rider doing G-turns and disaster slides? The first HCS section for the Prophecy? YES, oh God YES!!! Love it like it's your sister. The belt buckle is insane. It's a Johnny Hero custom design. It's the long-awaited HCS/Outlaw Collective crossover. If you don't think this thing's fucking rad, fuck you. It's stunning and you know you want one. What are you waiting for? Call HCS and order one...or eat my ass. Either one's ok.

I just talked to Derek and the wood has been gotten. The park will be completely done soon. There is no specific date yet, just know that it's coming. It's like that little toy you sent away for from the cereal box ads. The more you pay attention, the less quickly it'll come. Money still helps, for those of you who're wantin' to help. I've heard that it's disgustingly good inside. I've also been told about an array of grind rails that will make tears fall from your eyes with fear and trembling. Underestimate HCS and you will be demolished.
The 'mob' section has been updated. Like I said before, the format's different to accomodate all the new pictures that are up there. I think there's like 20 or 21 new pics up there. It's a pic taken in the pool that we emptied out, skated, then found out was filled with dirt a week later. Maybe, if we get REALLY motivated, we'll have to Challenge of the Week posted on the website. Don't count on that though. DEATH MACHINE PAGE IS UP AND RUNNING!!!! Ahhhhhhhh! I'm psyched. HCS has 8 Death Machine decks on the shelves right now just waiting for you to come, grab 'em up, and use 'em to destroy your lives. There's still some stuff to get doneon the page, but it's up nonetheless. The only thing about the page that isn't correct is stuff having to do with the bone fiber. We're still planning on doing the bone fiber, but there have been some hitches in how best to get the bone into the form that it needs to be in. However, we're working on it...and if you know us, you know that when we're working on something that usually means it'll get done.
The new setup's coming along (even though I haven't seen it yet). I can't wait to see it. There's also a new secret HCS spot to add in with the pit. Hopefully we'll get pics up real soon. I haven't seen that either, but I'll be seeing it soon. This week, as a matter of fact, I'll be touring the HCS facility and judging it's amazingness in the week to come. It's going to be so cricket. I'll be getting photo documentation during my short stay there.
In other 'coming soon' news, my good buddy Benjamin Depew did a presentation on the entrepreneurial savants at HCS. A pic or two of his work should be coming soon to the site. I'm going to harrass Jamal about getting some pictures of his gi-normous Panopticism poster to put up here. If anyone's read either of my papers on skating, they'll see the connections between Jamal's shit and that shit. I'm also on a quest to get a copy of the HCS ad that got ran in the most recent issue of SHINBONE so that I can put it up here. Until you see it, you cannot imagine how bananas D went this time...I'm not fucking around here. It was completely bananas. The craziest thing is that he did it like 3 or 4 times to get the pics 'cause the first roll of film didn't come out. Just wait. Finally, the TWEEK video is being working on obsessively by Jamal. It should be out sometime soon. Full parts by R-Y-A-N, D, Johnny, Jamal, and others on the team as well, I'm sure. One thing I can promise you is that it'll be worth the money to pick up a copy of that shit. Oooo...one last thing. There's gonna be some new graphics at HCS courtesy of Johnny Hero. They're two different scenes from the comic JOHNNY THE HOMOCIDAL MANIAC. They're gonna be sweet as salt. Ooo, ooo, ooo, one MORE thing. Johnny is also working on a design for an HCS belt buckle. It's taking foever, but it'll get done sometime. When it does, you should pay up because you'll be sorry if you don't.

No updates recently. Park construction is continuing without too many problems. Money is a little short of being able to fully finish, but it should get taken care of soon if some people'll buy shit. The grapevine says that the TWEEK video is being put together slowly but surely and will soon be hitting you in the face like a huge wad of cud from the mouth of a pissed off sorrostitute. The apartment is looking so sick. I've only seen pictures at this point and I'm already getting massive diarrhea. I'll let you know how good it is in real life in a few weeks. I can't wait to hit everything. Between the park, the apartment, and the TWEEK video...my upcoming visit to HCS for a few days is going to be nothing short of a viper biting onto my balls! The outlaw park suffered a setback (as anyone who reads the guestbook knows) because someone stole my stolen angle iron. However, I have received a shipment from HCS of 5 pieces. I'm gonna put one down and see if it stays there or if someone steals it again. If it gets stolen again, I might have to think up a whole new approach. We'll see what happens. HCS beltbuckle is coming slowly. It's hard to find time to carve when you're working two jobs and working on teaching stuff. I guess that's it. Alright, first thing's first. The updates.
----The HCS waiver is in the "archive" section for anyone that wants to download and print it at their house so their parent(s) can sign it before they come down (just make sure to print both pages).
----The Death Machine Skateboards page is inches from being uploaded. It's already looking so fucking sick. I can't wait to see what kinds of reactions/responses we get. So good.
The new setup is completely under way. The old setup has been torn out and construction has begun. The plan is to have the platform and all the ramps involved in it done by sometime around February. If don't know what I'm talking about, check out the new plans. To find them, go to the "custom merchandise" section and then go into the "coming soon" page.
As you've already seen from the front page, Death Machine skateboards are comin' soon. Soon. Like, real soon. Soon as in there's probably some of them already on the shelves. If there's not, look for them within the next couple weeks.

----The decks are getting ready to be produced.
----The webpage is just waiting for a few minor adjustments before it's uploaded.
That's it for now....oh wait! One last thing. It's not entirely relevant to HCS, but close enough. I'm also working on putting together an Outlaw skatepark. It's free, built from almost entirely borrowed, stolen, or gifted materials, stuck out of the way of everything, and going to be sick as shit. Basically it's a set of abandoned tennis courts. So far, there's only one 9' x 14" grindbox built out of 14 cinderblocks and coped on both sides by some thick-ass 4" x 2" angle iron pilfered from a building being torn down. However, there's 46 more stolen cinderblocks to be used, a piece of found pipe, a found square signpost, several stolen/found signs, and more angle iron, a launch ramp, and maybe a flatbar will soon be on their way from HCS. Also, I found a perfect-sized, already painted piece of plywood today to take over there so that it can be propped up and promptly boosted. The Outlaw park will be changing all the time. Soon to come, other than the shit from HCS, will be an L-shaped box and hopefully (if I can find a 2x10 somewhere) a homemade flatbar. Maybe once I start to feel like I'm getting towards done, I'll try to make a How-To webpage or zine or video or something on Homemade Skateparks. That'll be a while from now. There's a tidbit that I saw on the guestbook that seems to suggest that the piniata for the Piniatas of Doom New Years Par-tee is going to be Pastulio. This is just futher proof that HCS is nothing short of MENSA material. If you know who Pastulio is, you'll know why this idea is seriously genius. Ryan and Derek, I'd just like to say that I would've never thought of that; you're unstoppable.

Without any way to get images from the TV, it's hard to get pictures up on the site for each video. If I figure out a way that isn't too tough, I'll get it done. Until then, there's a good amount of stuff for most of the videos. Any requests for more information or expansion on any of the points/stoires can be posted on the guestbook. Also new in the news department, Derek has one complete mold finished and is now working on building supports for it. Decks are coming sooner than you think... and lo you keep watch by the evening stars for the holy light of the Order of HCS. Those of great faith will have their belief heaped back upon their families tenfold. Keep watching for more HCS news as it arrives.

I'll put it up on the main page when I get a chance, but for now the news page'll have to do. HCS is throwing a New Years party for y'all. It will be called THE PINIATAS OF DOOM NEW YEARS PAR-TEE. The destruction will begin at 5 and continue until midnight. You're more than welcome to show up before 5, but the official start time is 5 p.m. Prizes and awards will be given just after midnight for categories as yet to be determined. We don't want to charge for food so here's what we're gonna do: you can either bring some to share with other people (potluck-style) or you can throw us a donation. YES it is a donation, you won't have to donate to eat...but it'd be sweet if you did. The final point of interest is the best point of interest. AT MIDNIGHT, as we ring in the new year, there will be complete piniata destruction. Delicious piniata-ness will rain from the heavens like the blessings of the Almighty Himself. It will be as though the Lord is blessing you with piniata goodness, saying, "Thou art good and amazing. And lo, for your beauty and prowess I provide for you always." There will be a sense of community and rippage that has not been present since the days of King David. And oh yeah, a page dedicated to the various videos we've made will be making an appearance soon.

"Challenge of the Week" is in full effect. Here's how it works. Derek, Ryan, and
Jamal all think of ideas and agree on a specific trick that will be the "Challenge
of the Week." Sometimes there'll be one challenge for skating and one for biking, other
times the challenge will be the same trick. No matter what, there's a prize for the first
person to complete the challenge wins the prize. The prizes are different for every challenge.
If I remember right, the prize this week is a big bang blingin' neon Martini glass. It's
perfect for mood lighting while you're jerking off to the soothing sounds of the Plasmatics.

News page has been started. HCS is working on the new molds for skate decks as we
speak. The concaves will be completely original. No copies here. Also, construction
will begin soon on the new setup. First on the list of things to get done is the platform,
the diagonals, and the grindboxes. After that, we'll begin on the bowled out mini/corner and
diagonal/curved wallride/hip dealie.
